You may have read this week about the saddening / maddening murder of a soldier here in Canada keeping guard at the Cenotaph in Ottawa.
His name was Corporal Nathan Cirillo.
Today, I listened to a first hand account from someone who ran towards the fallen soldier in his last moments of need, someone who sees the positives in humanity.
She repeated to him, as he lay dying in her arms:
you are loved, you are good, you are brave.
Isn’t that what we want to hear, to feel, as we move through this world?
