Hustle has a negative connotation, but I like to see it as forward momentum, making things happen.
Today’s society waits for no woman. Tomorrow’s may walk all over us. We need to light a fire – we need to move faster. Hustle says, “Get a move on!”
Also, like the cockroach, the hustler may be the only one to survive the apocalypse!
Flow is the counterpart. In flow, we are open-minded, prepared, learning, growing. We accept the support of others, picking up speed and absorbing energy.
Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi calls flow
“an intense focus and crisp sense of clarity where you forget yourself, lose track of time, and feel like you’re part of something larger.”
Flow can seem a little touchy-feely, so I like to marry it with hustle, to create the tension.
In combination, these two attributes are unstoppable, and the Disorganizer will be too.
