I am in no way a cannabis OG, I have very little relationship to the industry other than 6 months of turned-up-to-11 LP experience.
I am carefully sceptical of those who are old skool cannabis. Not because they know more, I respect that. I challenge the idea that because you got there first, you know more what will happen tomorrow. An outsider’s perspective can have rich insight; there is something about being a court jester that can cut through.
Anyway, this is the say that I have been following along with the exodus of talent from the industry over the last 8-9 months, and it is sad.
For every mining or crypto or organized crime hustler who saw $$$$$ and a pump and dump opportunity, there were many authentic, product-first, health and wellness advocates whose spiritual journey entwined with an industry’s (legal) birth.
I admire the grace and the grit of those are on that journey. They believe they are making the world a better place, and belief aligned with a commitment to action is always enough.
Salut! To those who have persevered through the ups and the downs and who still see victory in sight. You are the architects of an industry that will change the world.
This Much We Know.
